Delegates from all corners of the world heard the latest findings and solutions from 15 speakers, regarding conditions such as the changing trends in mastitis pathogens, the economic impact of mastitis and mastitis control programmes from around the world.

Aidan Connolly and Prof. Boland highlighted the importance of industry and academia working in unison to make strides in finding practical solutions for the dairy industry. Prof. Simon More impressed the audience with his presentation underlining'Addressing milk quality concerns: global trends'. He emphasised the importance of milk quality from a human health, milk processing and on-farm profitability point of view.

Other speakers included Steve Elliott from Alltech, Dr. Ruth Zadoks, Cornell University and Prof. Julie Fitzpatrick, Moredun Research Institute Scotland.

The Dairy Solutions Symposium 2007 proved to be an informative, innovative and refreshing amalgamation of ideas that the delegates unanimously agreed was the successful result of Alltech and University College Dublin working symbiotically for the benefit of the dairy industry.
