International panellists to discuss link between government and agriculture
[Lexington, Kentucky] — Following the success of two Selenium iCasts
in 2006, Alltech has scheduled a new type of Web broadcast called, “Alltech
iCast: Solution Series,” for Thursday, April 12
at 8:00 a.m. Irish time.
This interactive broadcast will feature the role of government in animal
production, and will explore questions such as:
- Could the U.S. follow in the footsteps of the EU and go AGP-free?
- How is the EU re-evaluating feed additives?
- Should we still be concerned with heavy metals in the environment?
Dr. Karl Dawson, Director of Research at Alltech, will interview an international panel including David Wescott, Senior Associate in the Public Affairs Department at APCO Worldwide; Dr. Elinor McCartney of Pen & Tec Consulting, and Dr. Kyle Newman of Venture Laboratories.
The interviews will include discussion about the agriculture industry’s struggle with uncontrollable factors, such as the weather and even the government. Though rules and regulations are meant to protect the best interest of citizens, it can be at the expense of the ‘unsung heroes’ — agriculture. While governments put up these protective fences, research has opened gates. Through proven results, science meets the challenges proposed by the government head-on. Instead of compromising, proven research reveals a solution that is better for everyone — including agriculture.
The panellists featured during the iCast will share their experiences and answer questions from the public, providing information that can translate research into results in business operations. The interviews will broadcast online at www.alltech.com. This iCast is geared toward improving the bottom line and is built upon the questions submitted by the audience.
Since 1980, Alltech’s presence has grown with offices and distributors in 85 countries and more than 1,800 employees around the world. For more information, contact your local Alltech representative or visit www.alltech.com.
